Loopmedia was approached by editing house, Rooster to design its identity and website. The goal was to create a compelling identity and easy to navigate site that communicated the playful nature of the company and showcased the work of their editors. A lively palette speaks to the reds, greens and blues so familiar to post production, while the entire re-branding is centered around a modern take on the rooster used throughout the website, business cards and letterheads. Our design won the Creativity Awards, Corporate Identity Award.

Loopmedia created the graphics package for the 2009 Juno Awards, marking a 6 year tradition of working under the direction of Insight Productions. To change up the look of the awards from previous years, Loop built a 3D animated opening that highlighted the names and pictures of Canada's hottest musical talent by surrounding them with hot pink, yellow and green vines and leaves that gave the opening a real psychedelic and vibrant feel.

Notch is one of Toronto's premiere colour correction boutiques. As part of their studio renovations, they needed an updated website to reflect their team of talented artists and top of the line technology. So in stepped Loop. Drawing from their colour wheel and working with their existing logo, Loop came up with a punchy and sophisticated design. The site highlights their artist reels, their technical capabilities, an about us page and client login. This sleek and stylish site really pays tribute to the quality and expertise of Notch and their artists.

Helping sell the sizzle, Loop went to work for Alliance Films to create a short television teaser to promote Movie Central's newest releases and classic favorites. Flying through a cloudy backdrop, 2D clips of Movie Central films race across the screen only to come together and form the Alliance Films Logo.

Loop teamed up with The Brainstorm Group to develop content for a commercial promoting Canon's new Easy Photo Print Application for the iphone and ipod touch. Created for use on the big screen, web and television, Loop shows just how easy and convenient Canon's new App is by guiding the viewer through the wireless printing process. Loop brought the spot to life by adding CG motion and upbeat audio to help make this a must have for any iphone enthusiast.

Loop decided to play up the "feed your brain" element as a framing device for the open of Discovery Canada's new kids science show "SciQ". Moving within a 3D landscape, stills referencing natural history, robots, food, adventure and technology are combined with HD shots of the hosts. The atmosphere is funny and bright. Loop also updated the logo, making it kid friendly while keeping the Discovery aesthetic.

In partnership with Vancouver agency Identica, Loop developed an inclusive and unique design for APTN's main on-air identity as well as their News and Kid's programming. Drawing from APTN's four attributes - inspiring, engaging, unique and genuine, Loop designed a circle motif throughout the main brand to emphasis APTN's mission to connect Aboriginal peoples across a diverse Canadian landscape.

Utilizing a combination of After Effects, Maya and Final Cut Pro, Loop created an original look that is complemented by audio design featuring throat singing and drumming. The colour palette of white, golds and tangerines with glints of light evoke a sunrise, setting the stage for a positive, warm and inclusive channel.

Drawing on inspiration from our days in the sandbox, Loop teamed up with CBC to design and create the graphics package for their Kid's Canada pre-school programming block. Designed to appeal to both kids and parents alike, the graphics reveal animated worlds growing from simple shapes to elaborate landscapes. Meadows, wheat fields, and underwater scenes all come together in a mix of vibrant colours, bouncy animation and playful animals. Key to both the overall look and animation style are spheres: they collide together to build clouds, horizons and hills.

Loop was asked to develop the in-show map graphics and website for the launch of Departures, a travel show airing on the Outdoor Life Network (OLN). The objective was to highlight the spectacular imagery the travelers captured, setting the large photographs against a modern, light grey background. Universal travel icons are used as navigation buttons, further tying the user back to the travel theme of the show.
